While doing field research for this poster, I visited a secret colony and used my binoculars to watch Snowy Plovers navigating adeptly through the maze of Elephant Seals lying all over the beach. I was lucky to witness the incredible comeback of these seals while living in Monterey, there used to be one reliable place to see them and now there are many.
